SUCCESS STORY

Based in Aberdeenshire, the Logie Durno flock has gone from strength to strength. We have bred Charollais for over twenty years with the aim of producing lean, well fleshed, tough sheep capable of thriving in the North of Scotland.

Over the years we have achieved much success in the show ring. Most notably we have won the breed Championship at The Royal Highland Show on three occasions and stood reserve five times. Numerous Interbreed Championships have been won at Scottish shows helping establish the breed even more.

CURRENT FLOCK

The Flock, now Signet recorded, is run in two groups. Approximately half are lambed in December/January to prduce quality stock with the pedigree breeder in mind. The second half are lambed in late March/April to produce shearlings for the Kelso Ram Sale and commercial sales directly from the Farm.

Several of the top breeding females are ear marked each year for embryo transplant work in order to maximise the productivity of successful bloodlines.

Logie Durno stock is sought after the length and breadth of the United Kingdom from the Outer Hebrides to Devon, The Isle of Man and Ireland.
